YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Mon, December 08, 2014 23:19:21 Like a force of nature, Yuletide is closing in like a big hungry white shark. Not many days to go now. Get those xmas-pressies wrapped and in the bag!
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Wed, January 08, 2014 07:58:57 As the Yuletide is fading here's a fireplace for your enjoyment and some smooth Christmastime-music. Run this little baby in full screen (or in the background) and Keep Calm & Relax.
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Wed, May 16, 2012 21:23:09 Many moons ago, when the Minister was a young writer he met this gang from down under to make an interview. Nicest people. But that was in the middle of summer, and this song wasn't on the repertoire then.
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Sun, January 01, 2012 02:38:36 Happy New Year. Today on the first day of the year we have a long way to go to the next Yuletide. But before that we can still enjoy a little bit more of what is left of this one. Merry Reggae Xmas!
The traditional Christmas carol "12 days of Christmas" in a somewhat untraditional version of the Shrek-gang. And today we are most far from the next Christmas. But there will be another, unless the Mayans and the contemporary religious nuts are correct of course. However! Tomorrow the last everyday days of 2011 commences before the New Year Eve, and then we are on a new year! But until then we keep on rocking the Christmas way! Merry Yule-tide!
Something to hum to until Christmas - it looks like snow outside the window as I write this. But the so far warmest autumn makes it unlikely that the unwanted stuff will clog up the roads today. One can always hope...
While the Ministry is trapped in a blizzard with 1,5 meter high snowdrifts, the 6:th batch of Rice Pudding (2 liters) is cooking - here's another video for you from the Ministry YuleTube! It is the big day today (Xmas Eve) and since we can't get anywhere it's a laid back Xmas without stress. Let's see if we can fire up the tractor some other day and dig ourselves out. Until then we wish you a Merry Christmas!
Well... the snow is blowing in our faces... It's a nice little blizzard and it's gonna be a white Christmas at the Ministry. Thoughts about driving home for Christmas has very effectively been canceled. And we ask ourselves "Did things just get better or worse...?" In any case, tomorrow it's Christmas Eve and I doubt even Santa can get through all this snow. Apparently it's the whitest Christmas. Ever. I wonder if the mixed up Global Warming for a New Ice Age... The next 24 hours are expected to bring additional 30 centimeters of snow... Can you spell Cabin Fever?
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Mon, December 20, 2010 23:05:38 Four days to go. And the fifth batch rice pudding was ready the other day. 2 liters. Half of it was converted/refined into Ris a la Mande today and I just had a little with (homemade) strawberry jam on top. Mmmmmmm.... The snow is coming down and it seems we'll be getting a white Christmas this year. The whitest Christmas in Sweden since a very long time... as long as can be remembered actually!
Any last minute gifts to shop? Get going, you can make it - no sweat!
A little song on the Ministry YuleTube as we wait....
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Fri, December 17, 2010 21:43:16 Time is creeping forward in a deceitful slow pace. We are now one week from the big dipper-day and if you haven't started buying presaents by now, you are in for another typical x-mas mess (a so called x-mess). Before you freak out and bust something, here's another little something from the Ministry YuleTube!
The most remarkable thing is how disturbing damn young everybody looks in this video. Is it really that long ago. 1984. Hmmm... 84, 94, 2004... 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Bloody hell... 26 years ago. That is surreal. Time is surreal.
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Wed, December 23, 2009 18:00:43 OK, folks. It seems we'll be having a white X-mas at the Ministry this year! The Ministry road had quite a few small snowdrifts this morning but still drivable. Today it's "little Christmas" and the Christmas tree is in and dressed and smelling up the place with nice Christmas tree smell.
As some might know there is a unusual recipe for the White Christmas drink by a gang of swedish comedians: Explorer and Tipp-Ex. Do not try that at home...
YuleTubePosted by Ministry of Art Fri, December 18, 2009 13:26:37 OK, we're totally snowed in! The weather looks like a snowstorm and it's hard to see the neighbors house. No shopping for Christmas today. If it's not life threatening one better stay off the roads today. The wind and the snow packs it pretty high today and the snowdrifts are about 1- 1,5 meters already. neither snow or the wind seem to give up, and as long as its blowing the snow is building even after it stops snowing...
It's best to stay indoors, cook a warming soup and watch things like this:
